Asteraceae Atractylodes is a perennial herb, up to 60 cm tall, tuberous rhizomes. Stems erect, all smooth glabrous.

【 Place of Origin 】

Distributed in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Anhui, Sichuan, Hubei and Hunan of China, cultivated, but wild in Jiangxi, Hunan, Zhejiang and Sichuan, wild in hillside grassland and hillside forest.

【Utility】

Atractylodes atractylodes is a common and important bulk Chinese medicinal material, which has the functions of tonifying spleen and stomach, dampening water, antiperspirant and protecting fetus.

【Plant】

Atractylodes prefers a cool climate and is afraid of high temperature and humidity. It is not strict with the soil, but it prefers the slightly acidic, alkaline and light clay with good drainage and deep soil layer.
