Ophiopogon is a herbaceous plant with caespitose leaves, slender and linear, 10-30CM long and 0.2-0.3CM wide. The back of the leaves is greenish white and turns black and purple when mature.

Radix ophiopogon is native to China, but also distributed in Japan, Vietnam and India.

【Utility】

Relieving cough and phlegm, nourishing Yin and moistening lung, nourishing stomach and producing fluid, clearing heart and removing annoyance

【Plant】

Ophiophiopon likes warm and humid climate conditions with abundant rainfall, 5-30℃ can grow normally, the optimal growth temperature is 15-25℃, below 0℃ or above 35℃ growth stops, the growth process requires large water, requires sufficient light, especially in the stage of root expansion, light is sufficient to promote root expansion.
