Development history of soilless culture
The use of soilless culture dates back thousands of years to China, when people in southern China had learned to use reeds as rafts, drill holes, float on water, and plant vegetable seeds in the holes.
In the 1920s, Dr. William from the University of California put forward the basic principle of soilless culture for the first time, and developed some simple formula of nutrient solution and planting methods for soilless culture.
This nutrient solution formulation is still used today.
