When choosing the hydroponics mode, it needs to be considered according to the actual situation. Static hydroponics is an option for beginners or small scale home growers. If it is large-scale commercial planting or requires higher growth effect of plants, dynamic hydroponics mode can be selected.
Dynamic hydroponics mode: Dynamic hydroponics refers to inserting tomato seedlings into a planting tube, and then using a water pump to circulate the nutrient solution, so that the oxygen in the nutrient solution is sufficient to ensure the smooth breathing of the plant. The advantage of this model is that the dissolved oxygen in water is high, which can improve the photosynthesis and respiration of plants and promote plant growth. The disadvantage is the need to be equipped with water pump and pipe system, the operation is relatively complex.
Pump: Used for circulating water and nutrient solution, can choose the appropriate flow and head of the pump.
Pipe system: Connect the water pump with the water tank and planting pipe. You can choose PVC pipe, PE pipe, PPR pipe and other materials.
PVC pipe: PVC pipe is a more commonly used pipe material, with low price, corrosion resistance, high compressive strength advantages. However, PVC pipe is relatively brittle, easy to be affected by sunlight and low temperature, easy to aging, need to be replaced regularly.
PE pipe: PE pipe is a kind of soft, good cold resistance pipe material, with corrosion resistance, wear resistance and other advantages. The compressive strength of PE pipe is slightly lower than that of PVC pipe, so appropriate specifications and wall thickness need to be selected.
PPR pipe: PPR pipe is a kind of pipe material used in high temperature and high pressure. It has the advantages of corrosion resistance and scale resistance. The price of PPR pipe is slightly higher than that of PVC pipe and PE pipe, but its service life is long, high temperature resistance, high compressive strength, not easy to aging, long service life.
Drip irrigator or sprinkler head: Used to evenly spray or drip the nutrient solution into the planting tube. You can choose a suitable drip irrigator or sprinkler head.
Level gauge or float valve: Used to monitor the water level and keep the water level in the tank stable.
Oxygen disintegrator: used to improve the dissolved oxygen in water, to ensure the smooth breathing of plants.
Other auxiliary equipment: such as filter, regulating valve, water and fertilizer integrated machine, etc., can be selected according to actual needs.
